The exceptionally high thermoelectric figures of merit ZT of these materials (see graph), which exceed those of the state‐of‐the‐art materials PbTe and (GeTe)1−x((Ag2Te)1−y(Sb2Te3)y)x (TAGS), derive from their very low lattice thermal conductivities.
