Usefulness of Preprocedural Platelet Aggregation to Predict Restenosis After Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

Zusammenfassung: | We investigated whether the assessment of small platelet aggregates before percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) could predict restenosis after PCI. This was a prospective cohort study that enrolled 189 consecutive patients who had coronary artery disease. In multiple logistic regression analysis, higher levels of preprocedural small platelet aggregates were independently associated with restenosis after PCI. Measurement of small platelet aggregates may serve as a useful clinical variable for stratifying patients who present for PCI. |
