Zusammenfassung: | Cutis marmorata telangiectatica congenita (CMTC) is an uncommon sporadic congenital vascular anomaly characterised by persistent cutis marmorata, telangiectasia, and phlebectasia. The disease usually has a benign clinical course and over 50% of cases recover spontaneously without specific treatment. The occurrence of life-threatening complications in CMTC is rare.
We report a neonate with life-threatening cutis marmorata telangiectatica congenita which was complicated by gangrenous ulceration, bleeding episodes, and hypovolaemic shock. |
