Zusammenfassung: | The authors report a case of fatal tuberculous meningoencephalitis following chronic bilateral otitis media in a child. Mycobacterium tuberculosis was identified in the CSF and in the otitis secretions. There were no pulmonary tuberculosis signs, thus the tuberculous otitis was considered as primary. In high tuberculosis endemic areas like Central African Republic it is important to consider tuberculosis, in chronic otitis media resistant to non specific therapy, and to reinforce the immunization programs for children. |
