Zusammenfassung:	Spontaneous and isolated dissection of the superior mesenteric artery is rare. This report describes a case treated with a new technique of right gastroepiploic artery to superior mesenteric artery bypass with a reversed saphenous vein graft, which has been patent for 6 years. This technique is an alternative approach in the setting of acute mesenteric ischemia.
