Reaction Mechanisms of Mononuclear Non-Heme Iron Oxygenases

While much attention has been given to studying heme enzymes that activate dioxygen, a large number of non-heme iron enzymes are known to catalyze a wide range of reactions from molecular oxygen. Zusammenfassung:While much attention has been given to studying heme enzymes that activate dioxygen, a large number of non-heme iron enzymes are known to catalyze a wide range of reactions from molecular oxygen. Abu-Omar, et al present and analyze results obtained in the past six years form primary sequences, structure-function relationships, and chemical kinetics and mechanisms dealing with mononuclear non-heme iron intermolecular and intramolecular dioxygenases.
