Zusammenfassung:Going solo: The use of AlH3⋅NMe3 as a hydrogen‐transfer agent with β‐diketiminatogermanium(II) and β‐diketiminatotin(II) halides gives the divalent hydrides [{HC(CMeNAr)2}GeH] and [{HC(CMeNAr)2}SnH] (Ar=2,6‐iPr2C6H3). In the solid state, the compounds exhibit monomeric and dimeric arrangements, respectively, with weak intermolecular SnH⋅⋅⋅Sn contacts for the Sn analogue (see picture).
