Zusammenfassung:	A patient with a history of type II diabetes mellitus (DM), end stage renal disease (ESRD), and congestive heart failure (CHF) developed necrotizing fasciitis caused by Serratia marcescens after scraping his leg on rocks in a river while fishing. Aggressive management with surgical debridement, antibiotics, and pressure support was unsuccessful.
