Zusammenfassung: | The case of a young adult male, who after a short upper respiratory illness presented with fever and alarming progressive neurological deficits, is reported. The diagnostic puzzle and the difficulty in establishing a diagnosis are reported. Acute transverse myelitis is a rare clinical manifestation of Coxsackie virus infection, and very few cases of transverse myelitis caused by serotype B have been reported in the English literature. This is a case report of an unusual acute transverse myelitis caused by Coxsackie B2 infection. |
