Zusammenfassung:Reaction of the electrophilic terminal phosphinidene complex 2 with the stable nucleophilic carbene 1 leads to an adduct with inversion of polarity at the phosphorus atom. Zwitterionic 3 exhibits nucleophilic character at the phosphorus atom through protonation and alkylation reactions, and can be converted back into its original two components by reactions with electron‐poor heterodienes.
