Zusammenfassung: | The Task Force on Community Preventive Services conducted a systematic review of scientific evidence on diverse interventions for the prevention of violence, including home visitations during the first two years of a child's life. The task force found that such visits are effective in preventing child abuse & neglect, with a median relative reduction of 39 percent. This is true in a range of diverse home situations. However, the evidence was inconclusive in the areas of whether such visits reduce violence in visited children, violence by visited parents (excluding child abuse & neglect) or intimate partner violence in visited families.
