Zusammenfassung:Exposition to the acute intensive hypobaric hypoxia blocks the triggering mechanism of epileptic seizures only within a short time interval after the end of hypoxia period and it does not influence the progressive epileptogenesis in 12-day-old rats. In 25-day-old rats' hypobaric hypoxia suppresses the postictal depression elicited by the repeated stimulation in short interstimulus intervals and it increases the duration of epileptic seizures evoked by electrical stimulation of the sensorimotor cortex.
