Zusammenfassung:Ectopic (heterotopic) gastric mucosa (EGM) of the upper esophagus, referred as inlet patch, is an asymptomatic benign lesion that is often detected during endoscopic examination. Although it is considered a source of adenocarcinoma in the upper esophagus, only 17 cases of adenocarcinoma have been reported previously. We report a rare case of adenocarcinoma arising in EGM of the cervical esophagus.
