Zusammenfassung:The specificity of an immune response is due to lymphocytes, the only cells in the body capable of specifically recognizing different antigenic determinants. Cytokines are modulatory proteins that control the development and differentiation of lymphocytes from pluripotent stem cells; many cytokines are also potent inflammatory molecules. Cytokines are secreted under stress, and it has been shown that acute stress induces leukocyte trafficking and augments immune responses.
