Zusammenfassung:A case report of a 6-year-old African-American boy who was admitted to the hospital with the presumptive diagnosis of atypical Kawasaki disease and to rule out other possible etiologies is presented. Kawasaki disease is an acute, febrile, systemic vasculitis of unknown etiology that affects mainly the coronary arteries and is the leading cause of child-acquired heart disease in the United States and Japan.
