Zusammenfassung:The light touch: Asymmetric photoequilibrium and autocatalysis act as sources of homochirality in a highly enantioselective preparation of chiral alcohols (see scheme). This process is initiated by left‐ and right‐circularly polarized light (CPL) and exploits the resulting photoequilibrium between chiral olefin substrates to yield 2‐alkynyl‐5‐pyrimidyl alkanols.
