A giant aneurysm arising from renal angiomyolipoma in tuberous sclerosis

Casper et al have described renal imaging findings in 59 young patients with tuberous sclerosis with only one angiomyolipoma harbouring an aneurysm visible on CT. 2 The angiographic features of angiomyolipoma include clusters of microaneurysms, a dense well organised early arterial network, and a late whorled appearance with no significant arterio-venous shunting.
