Our study included 100 patients of ischemic stroke and 100 controls. Compared with controls ox-ldl was significantly raised in stroke patients and Paraoxanase activity was low. Our findings suggest that there is a significant association between raised plasma ox-ldl and decrease activity of Paraoxanase with age indicating that plasma ox-ldl may reflect oxidative stress in ischemic stroke patients. |
