Zusammenfassung:PROFESSOR MAX MULLER is a noble and delightful writer, with a speciality in which he is unapproachable; but the topic of his article "On Freedom" (CONTEMPORARY REVIEW for November, 1879) is debateable ground for all intelligent people. As I think so much of it as relates to Mr. Mill's essay "On Liberty" is in some points seriously misleading and mischievous, and in others hardly accurate, I venture to submit a few paragraphs upon it for the consideration of thoughtful readers.
