Styles of the Exposed Body

This article examines some logics that encourage the public exposure of the body among no-poor youths in Cali (Colombia), & the continuing examination of the personal appearance. Although the consumption & services market for youths, the media communication, the vogue, & the peers group threaten to influence everybody's life, in the body appearance of some of these no-poor youths there is played a kind of proper & personal style that allows them to move in their environment without succumbing to its influence.
