Zusammenfassung:The current study was conducted to investigate the socio-economic impacts of unemployment in urban Faisalabad with regard to the characteristics, magnitude and direction of changes in social relationships, and the attitude of unemployed people towards the society. For this purposes, one hundred respondents were randomly selected from Faisalabad city. A majority of the respondents strongly indicated their belief that persons having some job are more confident than those having none. A major proportion of the respondents believed that unemployment affects the socio-economic status of the family, leads to poor mental health and increases the magnitude of corruption, drug addiction, crimes and suicide in a society. A large percentage of the respondents of age limit 24-30+ believed that the lower rate of education is responsible for the present situation of joblessness.
