Zusammenfassung:Based on American and Mexican sources such as the Current Population Survey, the American Community Survey and the National Council of Population (Consejo Nacional de Poblacion), this work presents estimations of both the magnitude of Mexican migratory flows toward the United States in the ten recent years and the amount of Mexican natives who currently reside or work in said country. The results of the direct measurements on the volume of emigration to the United States in recent years are revised and it is concluded that the Mexican emigrants' flow so far this century is below or around 400 thousand a year, a figure that turns out to be lower than the official estimation, because of this, a careful review of the Official Mexican estimation of the net migratory flow for the 2000-2005 period should be carried out.
