Zusammenfassung: | This study investigated the demographic characteristics of non-kin foster parents, the quality of their family functioning, their experiences with service systems, the sources of support they used, and other factors related to providing foster care. Differences by race, African-American and Caucasian, were explored for all variables. More similarities than differences were found. The results were compared to what is known from other studies and descriptions of African-American families in general. Practice implications are suggested. |
