Zusammenfassung: | A discussion of Sierra Leone's Five-Year Plan & its impact on regional development, highlighting the consistency between the allocation of resources & the regional objectives of the Plan. The historical & political background of the Plan is presented, & its attempt to develop an integrated social welfare infrastructure & provisions for health facilities, education, & road transport are described. Long-term implications of the Plan are elaborated, as well as regional problems that surfaced during the 1980s.
