Zusammenfassung:The aim of this brief essay is to investigate the connection between the term 'spirituality', as it is defined today, & the implications of the Christian category of 'religiosity'. Through the analysis of the definitions of 'spiritualism' that may be found in Ernst Troeltsch, we ask whether & in what measure the actual spiritualism embodies an element of Christian religiosity, apart from influences stemming from other great religious traditions. Our inquiry showing that the two terms aren't so easily detachable, we conclude proposing that the actual game of creating new opposite categories (religiosity/spirituality) is of little consistence inasmuch as its conceptual field, with its century-old tradition, allows only a narrow margin of fluctuations.
