Zusammenfassung: | Factors associated with nonpayment of child support by noncustodial fathers were examined through interview of 150 fathers summoned to appear in an IL court for child support nonpayment. Nearly 40% reported having insufficient money to pay child support. Nearly 25% did not pay support because of lack of visitation rights, & 14% reported not having control over how the money was spent as the primary reasons for nonpayment. Policy implications are discussed. 4 Tables, 17 References. D. Generoli |
