Zusammenfassung: | Interview data were obtained in 1991 to explore health & social service accessibility among a sample of 100 elderly rural African Americans in AL. Focus was on the relationship between access to various services & individual characteristics among the respondents. Findings reveal that accessibility varied in relation to service type, & that age, marital status, geographic location, & service awareness significantly influenced accessibility. Results underline the importance of understanding the variations among this population in relation to service accessibility, & point to the need for improving the service delivery system. More research on this topic is advised. 3 Tables, 39 References. Adapted from the source document. |
