Zusammenfassung: | Sociodemographic factors associated with family empowerment & involvement in mental health services for children were examined through questionnaire survey of 1 parent in 153 families of children with emotional & behavioral disorders. Analysis revealed that mothers reported higher levels of family involvement than fathers & that those with less formal education reported more family involvement than those with more formal education. A knowledge dimension of family empowerment was moderately correlated with family involvement & personal empowerment was significantly correlated with a treatment subscale of family involvement. No correlation between a systems advocacy of family empowerment & family involvement was found. 2 Tables, 29 References. Adapted from the source document. |
