Zusammenfassung:This paper utilizes migration patterns based upon the demographic characteristics of age, sex and race to test the applicability of existing "quality of life" definitions. The results indicate that if individuals migrate in order to be better off in some subjective sense then QOL measures are more appropriate for blacks than nonblacks and younger individuals than older.
