Zusammenfassung: | Dialogue is introduced as the key element in both group and Jungian analysis, with particular reference to Bakhtin's notion of dialogue as central to a new conception of the relationship between the individual and society. The free-flowing discourse of the therapy group is seen as analogous to free association in analysis and the role of the conductorlanalyst in dealing with these is compared. The growth in the group of the group mind and the enrichment of the individual in the group are discussed. Bakhtin's concepts of carnival and dialogue are seen as valuable in understanding the convergence of thought between Jung and Foulkes. |
