Zusammenfassung: | Drawing on Olson's circumplex model, this study examined the role of family process variables in mediating the impact of life events on adolescent depression. Subjects for this study were 108 high school students and their parents who were selected from high schools and 4-H groups in one midwestern state. Multiple regression analyses indicated only a direct effect between family life events and depressive symptomatology. Implications of these findings are drawn for practitioners. |
