Zusammenfassung: | The purpose of this study was to explore the feasibility of applying a mediation approach utilizing volunteer mediators to resolve intrafamily disputes between parents and adolescents as a means of preventing child maltreatment. Of the 50 families participating in the project, about 90% were able to reach a mediation agreement, and 80% of these agreements were adhered to after 2 months. The results indicate considerable client satisfaction and self-reports of amelioration of family conflicts. |
