Zusammenfassung: | This article reports the results of a national survey concerning home visitor characteristics, training, and supervision for home visiting programs that serve families with children. The 1,904 survey respondents represent Head Start home visiting programs as well as educational, social service, and health agencies funded by both private and public sources. The results showed that a wide range of educational backgrounds were required for employment, but there was considerable similarity in personal characteristics desired for employees. Training and regular supervision were infrequently provided. |
