Zusammenfassung: | Deals with the problem of legitimacy of social policy in the Czech welfare state. Data from various social surveys are used to document a gradual shift of value preferences of the Czech population from liberal to social democratic; how the changes in Czech social policy have been accepted by public opinion & what changes are required are analyzed.
