Zusammenfassung:A comparison is drawn between the attitudes of women who are awaiting sentence & those who have been sentenced to prison & how these attitudes are reflected in self-perception, drawing on data from the Eastern Women's Preventative Prison & the Women's Center of Social Readaptation in Mexico. Issues of concern include language, name changes, & the body. It is asserted that before sentencing, women gain a perspective of reevaluation, & incarcerated women modify rhythm, space, & forms of power. 12 References. Adapted from the source document.
