Zusammenfassung: | The association between satisfaction with family relationships & the occurrence of family violence is examined, utilizing questionnaire data from 304 Neb residents. Analysis reveals that: ratings of marital satisfaction decrease as reported spousal violence increases, satisfaction as a parent decreases as use of violence in correcting children increases, family strengths decrease as violence increases, & use of violence by one family member is related to greater use of violence by others in the family. It is concluded that not only does violence harm individual family members, it also damages relationships within the family. 23 References. F. Rasmussen |
