Zusammenfassung: | This article examines the perspectives of a group of 16- to 18-year-old immigrants from the former U.S.S.R. on their educational experience in an Israeli high school. Its findings can contribute to the provision of better quality education to these youths, who are undergoing cross-cultural transition at a critical stage in their lives. Although this study is based on fieldwork conducted in an Israeli context, it is hoped that the insights gained will be useful to educators working with immigrant youths of similar cultural backgrounds in other receiving societies as well. |
