Zusammenfassung: | Presents an examination of the ethnomethodological concept of reflexivity, focusing on meaning variants in John Heritage's Garfinkel and Ethnomethodology (1984) & how they compare with Harold Garfinkel's own formulations (1967). Also discussed is the relation of ethnomethodology to normative sociology. It is concluded that reflexivity of actions is the original ethnomethodological conceptual contribution & relates to the intelligible character of human actions & to the embodied character of interpretive practices. 10 References.
