Zusammenfassung: | Although Bunch (1987) points out that the UN has changed perspectives on 'women's issues', she emphasizes the importance of sharing experiences as well as promoting global women's leadership and enhancing political direction. Some global feminists have emphasized sisterhood, empowerment and the importance of sharing experiences. Some other feminists are concerned with the gap between global feminist discourse and local policies. The next section will discuss the changes in South Korea's gender policies that have been affected by global discourse. [Reprinted by permission of Sage Publications Ltd., copyright holder.] |
