Zusammenfassung:The United States and Japan have long existed in a symbiotic partnership. The sociology of Japan contributes to the international and multicultural approaches within sociology. The goal of the course is to sharpen students' observational and analytical abilities and increase understanding of Japanese society using sociological theories and concepts. The course also helps students accept, appreciate, and respect the sociocultural differences between the two nations. It also provides ample opportunities to reflect upon American society.
