Zusammenfassung: | The preceding contributions to this series (see related abstracts in SA 42:1 & 42:3) have reported associations between each of 4 domains of family variables (worldview, emotion management, structure/organization, & problem solving) & the health of adults in a community-based sample of 225 families. Here, the relationships among all 4 family domains (73 variables) & between all 4 family domains & adult health are explored. Principal components & multidimensional scaling analyses suggest the viability of the 4-family-domain framework. As expected, the pattern of relationships among the variables in each family domain was maintained when health was added to the analyses. Also, the relationship between some family domains & health changed when viewed in the context of the other family domains. These shifts suggest the importance of family context for the relationship of that family domain & health. 1 Table, 7 Figures, 2 Appendixes, 11 References. Adapted from the source document. |
