Zusammenfassung: | The Canadian Group Psychotherapy Assoc (CGPA) is studied to explore the dynamics of organizational growth & development. After reviewing existing research on group dynamics, the history of the CGPA since its establishment in the late 1970s is examined in relation to its function in the social system, characteristics, & administration. Theoretical & experiential perspectives that represent caveats for organization are discussed, eg, hidden functions of organizations, unclear goals, power struggles, institutionalization, & resistance to change. It is emphasized that organizations should inspect their own growth dynamics & learn from past experiences. 36 References. Adapted from the source document. |
