Zusammenfassung: | An examination of the objectives of the "Health for All by the Year 2000" program of the World Health Organization, focusing on the goals of the Regional Committee for Europe. The role of the family is important, since the family creates the social environment that determines each individual's capacity to conserve his or her health. This environment can be threatened by psychosocial factors that may cause physical & emotional problems. There are also modulating variables that influence health, eg, those relating to self-respect, personality, capacity to cope with problems, & social support networks. Theoretical models such as the "family life cycle" are examined as a means to analyze the role of the health-illness balance. 3 Tables, 1 Figure. Adapted from the source document. |
