Zusammenfassung:THIS PAPER SUGGESTS SOME BASIC PREMISES OR CRITERIA WHICH THE AUTHOR FEELS ARE ESSENTIAL TO RANKING OR GRADING PRESIDENTS. BECAUSE OF THE DIFFICULTY OF MAKING AN OBJECTIVE ANALYSIS, TWENTY YEARS MUST PASS BEFORE WE CAN ASCERTAIN THE TRUE NATURE OF THE PRESIDENCY. THE EXAMPLE OF THE REVISIONIST ANALYSIS OF THE EISENHOWER PRESIDENCY IS OFFERED. THE PRESIDENTS ALSO OUGHT TO BE RANKED ACCORDING TO WHAT THE TIMES REQUIED AND HOW THEY MANGED TO RESPOND. IT MUST ALSO BE ASKED IF THE PRESIDENT HAD A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE OFFICE ITSELF.
