Zusammenfassung: | To assess the reliability & validity of a scale developed to measure traditional vs egalitarian role perceptions in marriage, a 13-item questionnaire was administered to 5 groups of married couples (N = 35 traditional & 51 egalitarian) & to several other groups to cross-validate the results. Findings supported the traditional-egalitarian classification, & leadership scores differentiated between the two types of roles. However, socioemotional tasks were carried out by both husbands & wives, & did not relate to the traditional-egalitarian distinction. 3 Tables, 22 References. M. Malas |
