Homelessness among participants in residential alcohol programs in a Northern California county: the commitment and organization of social resources

A survey of 288 alcohol treatment clients showed that many were homeless: the proportion with an alternative place to spend the night ranged from 19% of those in a detoxification program to 84% of those in a multiple-DUI jail program.
