Zusammenfassung:Examined is the treatment of Asians by the Ugandan government in the process of their expulsion in 1972. Data from interviews with 1,250 heads of expelled Asian households, conducted in 1973, are analyzed. Reported abuses are categorized as follows: 12% inconvenience, 26% property violations, 22% harassment, 5.5% beatings, & 0.5% the rape or killing of a family member. Findings show the expulsion to have been a negative experience for the Asians, but not as harsh as has sometimes been claimed. 3 Tables. W. H. Stoddard.
