Zusammenfassung:	This study compares the patterns of degree selection among women in the years 1970-71 and 1978-79. The selection pattern for women is compared with that of men; the rate at which the representation of women in a field of study changes is judged by an index of rate of change; and the redistribution of women among fields of study is analyzed. The changes in patterns of degree selection are described from several explanatory perspectives.
