Zusammenfassung: | Questionnaire data obtained from 216 unemployed women who had applied for work & aid through the Louisiana State Dept of Employment Security in 1985/86 suggest that unemployed women seek & successfully receive assistance from relatives & friends. These women's parents were significantly more likely to give aid than other relatives, friends, or their spouse's parents. Emotional support was received significantly more often than financial or information support. A significant association was found between expenditures for food & number of earners in the family. 4 Tables, 27 References. Modified HA |
