Zusammenfassung: | Both Ch. Perelman & Jurgen Habermas have critized rationalism, while trying to avoid the consequences of skepticism & relativism. Recently, Habermas has developed a theory of communicative action, the purpose of which is to establish the basis of a procedural rationality. Perelman's itinerary has led him to a theory of argumentation closely related to law & jurisprudence. The two theories are compared in order to suggest a way of solving the difficulties arising from the sterile opposition of demonstrative rationalism & decisionism. AA |
